That really says it all Freddie, say what you might about the evil's of religion, society sure seems to fall apart without it.

I see it as kinda the foundation that the rest of the house sits on.

I really don't think that Alexa is all that much of a secularist though. I see her as just on a continuous exploration with her mind not made up one way or the other. I bet she would sing Joy to the world any day without feeling like she has submitted to some evil curse or something :-)

The days around Christmas time sure make allot of us think more deeply about the religios aspects of it huh?

I think that's a good and healthy thing.

I saw on the news tonight a local church in Seattle was broken into and ransacked. They even smeared a red substance all over the place.
Just a bunch of sick lunie's on the prowl I guess. I wonder if they would have burned the inhabitants at the steak if given the chance??

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas Freddie, it sure has been great reading your history lessons this past year.

Michael

I do not wish to defend any zealotry, secular or religious, nor any massacres conducted under the aegis of said zealotry. I do not wish to get into a debate with you on which murderous regimes murdered the most humans, as quite frankly I don't care. Murder is murder, and on a grand scale it is still on a grand scale. Whether a hundred thousand or a million, it is still horrific. I do not appreciate the Godless any more that the religious persecuters, and I have come to the personal conclusion that kindness and compassion are probably maladaptive and that is why we see them so infrequently. Humans, as a species, I find rather repellent, though on a personal level I have found a few of the species to be quite lovable. This ties in of course with my elitist tendancies. I am highly critical, and wish to associate only with humans that meet my exacting standards. Alas, these representatives of their race are few and far between (although, of course, my friends on Rambi meet my standards of excellence.)
