I think the CEO is finally doing the right thing by essentially telling investors to get out of the stock for the near term. The question is whether or not AMD is ever going to be profitable and if that's at all likely, at what price might AMD again look reasonable. My guess is Intel is more concerned about market share than they are about money and will do whatever it takes to stop AMD. However, if AMD gets into the single digits, as I suspect they will, they might prove to be a viable take-over target by the likes of IBM.
