Congratulations, and best wishes for the future. Eight's a nice number.

With regard to decalcification. I would get tested for D3, along the lines that Pogeu recommends. I take a large dose of K2 as well. There are communities in Japan that eat Nato and have intakes up to 40 mg K2 per day. They have no calcification problems, few coronary problems, and low arthritis incidence.
40 grams is hard to do with regular supplements, but Carlson has a 5mg K2, at a reasonable price and you can start out with that and work up. Natto is an acquired taste. Sold here in hawaii in the da 'Bad Stink' stores. 'You no cookin less yer neighbors complaining!' Anyway... I've been taking extra k2 for a month or two and it seems it is helping with tendon issues. Read up on it, give it a try at whatever level you feel comfortable.
