I agree BUT.....

I see the difference between the yields of SPY vs T or VZ as perhaps the former as a real dividend while the latter might be more like an annuity.... meaning the terminal value, 20 to 50 yrs from now, could go to zero.

My guess it is somewhere in between, but it seems odd that we need to pay about $100 a month for a single, unlimited 4G wireless connection to the internet

I pay about $110 for two unlimited lines on a T-Mobil plan
plus $88 a month for satellite TV that is negotiated down from $140 or so.
plus $33 for dsl
plus $30 for AT&T land line

It is hard to see the "average" consumer with two kids taking home $44K a year forking out that kind of money forever... I think many get a med speed Comcast link and have all the kids watch YouTube or netflix via streaming and maybe get free TV over the air for the low cost plans... using the wifi at home and just have cell phones for emergencies and texts where wifi isn't available.

If Sanders is elected, my guess is they'll decide low cost internet connectivity is a HUGE reason for the divide between the rich and poor.... so they'll figure out how to give it to everyone. .
