Well, that makes it easy. Maybe they ought to reject Obama's nominee based on his position on one of the liberal topics almost all Republicans oppose. Perhaps, the right of government to spend money it doesn't have. Not the legal right, of course. But just Senators' preferences.

Or maybe create an abortion litmus test the way Democrats have.

Bork was a highly qualified legal scholar. He was rejected because he was considered too conservative. No Democrat in our lifetimes has be rejected because he/she was too liberal.
