It's a stock market thing Rich. If we owned a super, great wonderfully profitable oil drilling company and they were saying bad things about oil drillers in the WSJ, our stock would go down. When the "chips" go down the ECMs go down. We get a temporary shot when the super earnings are released and then slip again. We are just out of favor right now!

CCIR has expanded a bunch lately and is not experienced at expanding ...ditto PGTZ. (Although I think PGTZ is the most undervalued right now based on how well I believe they are doing) HADCO bought Zycon and is big time in Maylasia which scares folks for the wrong reasons. Altron has lost some share it seems to Sanmina and the Northeast is the weaker part of the country for Hi-tech lately. The rest of the industry is cruising. The assemblers like DIIG, Solectron and Jabil continue to benefit from OEMs turning over factories and business to them.

The best strategy ... keep on buying! That's what I'm doing. We are a two wage earner family ... I have learned to live on my wife's (small!) salary so I can keep on investing mine in the ECMs that some day will make me rich.

Much of this downward spiral started when we learned to our chagrin that first Hong Kong, and then Korea, was the center of the universe. I suspect the downward spiral will reverse rather sharply when we suddenly discover that Korea is not the center of the universe, or at least is not yet ready to implode and take all the world's wealth with it. Unless, of course, the chickens little continue to hold sway and we find yet another dooms day scenario to focus on.

Great Barron's article. Here's an interesting and encouraging look at the Korean situation.

Rich I'am also buying in a big way,the artical we all just read is why .The PE's will change maybe sooner than later who know's, but I WANT to be fully invested when they do,and they will.Just about all of these ecm company's can be bought at 50 cent's on the dallor and their growing at 30to 50%.Who ever has the money to buy to today is going to have one hell've a year. In my view the best of the bunch are the ecm's that provide full sevice manufactoring(sci slr flexf jbil diig)why risk a smaller player they might lose their biz to these guy's,infact they will.JMHO Patroller
