Again Mr/Ms. Smith your lack of TA acumen is truly comical. All comparisons in any TA on any single stock is done in reference to only that specific stock. Not MSFT or INTC. Any single end of day, week or month trade alters every outcome in the technicals of every stock and it is in the unique HISTORY of each stock that the perspective of TA is to be taken.

Get a life,
Doug R

Summing Up The Indicators...

>>>How can you use the same techniques to analyze a thinly-traded, obscure penny stock like AIRM that you would use on a stock like MSFT or INTC? If you want to cite basic tools like volume, MACD, higher highs/lower lows....ok. But to state that Friday's trading in this stock constituted a "breakout in the stochastics across these downtrends and as such a powerful short term move could happen
monday/tuesday"...? You're basing your conclusions about a sensitive and important indicator like stochastics on the action in a stock that traded a total of 21,000 shares on the lightest trading day of the year for the broader market. 21,000 shares....for a $3 stock, that's a grand total of $63,000 of capital flowing into and out of this thing.<<<

Christopher:

You make a valid argument regarding TA on small caps vs large caps... I have found, though, that a combination of indicators moving in the same direction does have predictive power, even in small caps...

I have also found that Relative Strength lines are also predictive of stock price direction... And when it confirms the other indicators, there is a good prabability that the indicators are moving in sync with the stock price...

Currently, AIRM has completed a double bottom in stock price, MACD, and Relative Strength... What is now needed is an increase in volume and a more positive tone to MoneyFlow... The MoneyFlow is hinting at positive, so that leaves increasing volume as the final confiration of a real breakout to the upside...

That's why, if you notice I also wrote:

Monday will be key to watch for a confirmation of this breakout with strong volume and a
close at or above where the price is now.

If you look at the short term stochastics there IS a breakout, along with the breakout in price. I fully acknowledged the fact that this "breakout" could be a false one by mentioning that it was on light volume, and also mentioning (as i requoted above) that confirmation will have to come with strong volume.

I am not concluding anything from just the short term stochastics; I said a powerful move *could* happen; and that volume would *have to* confirm any breakout.

Taking quotes out of context is not usually something that people look highly on. I respect your opinion that one can't TA $3 stocks; I disagree. I don't appreciate you selectively editing my post to imply that I am calling friday a true breakout day for AIRM when if you read my entire post, you will clearly see that I am not saying that.
