Cosmo, it is "momentum" stocks in the midst of a short squeeze that have been very profitable shorts for me. You either need good timing or guts and deep pockets to play however. My timing stinks but I am long on guts..... I am short yhoo and will be shorting AMZN.

1. A short squeeze is a temporary thing. If you can wait it out, you can make big money. 2. Every bubble stock has a chart that looks like YHOO's, that's why they're bubble stocks. IOM and YHOO are not the same. Possibly if the IOM shorts that you refer to had the cojones to hold on, they would have been or will be rewarded. Don't try to scare me with YHOO, I held onto a short position in PRST when it went from 110 to 200 and ended up making a good return. I shorted NSCP and watched it go up 50% before crashing and making me money. It's becoming clear that the type of internet ads that YHOO sells are not growing very fast, and the prices are being discounted. More and more articles are showing up revealing that revenue from Internet ads are disappointing, articles even in Internet hype mags. Does it occur to you that the price of YHOO is being supported by all the momentum funds that have seen so many of their other mo stocks fall? Do you really believe that they'll be able to support it forever? Now you've warned everybody that YHOO is a bomb, just about ready to blow off their hands. You've done your duty. Give it a rest.
