You bring up a good point about opening up the market to become a standard. All one has to do is look at Apple and see where their strategy took them. The sad part is they just bought out their biggest colne maker and are still asleep at the wheel. Talk about going backwards.

If Iomega can open up the disk market and still protect or maintain their dominance, then I'm all for it. IOM knew that as the installed base grew other people will want a share of the pie. So I wonder what kind of strategy they have in plan for the long term.
