As I was saying....

I got out of the mess pretty well intact, however, I know of quite a few unfortunate souls who did not fare so well. Many people are now the proud owners of third rate internet terminals. I guess I should thank "customer DIService" for being so inefficent and not processing my or my local downlines' Starscrewed lease apps. If they had had their act together even a little bit I would be batteling it out with the lease Co. now.

I and a friend (yes he's still my friend) went to the big gala in Oct. 96, I should have noticed the signs, misqued fireworks(?) Norman almost taking a header when he left the stage (BTW I actually helped keep him from falling, sure wish the same was done for the company), dissention among the troops. Ahh, but I was caught up in the moment, this was such a great concept and it was working. It was working in the hearts and minds of the FP's, honest (for the most part) hard working Janes and Joes who saw and believed it would work. We saw a great opportunity to allow ourselves and others the chance to really "ride a rocket," as they said. Unfortunately our ground crew just wasn't there where we needed them.

Call me naive but I think those guys at the top Gregg, Norman, Jonathan really planned on seeing this through. I just think they were caught off guard by the explosive nature of the growth and tried to do too much too soon. At least I hope so.

In closing, I wish everyone a good life, health and prosperity. I learned a lot, and I intend to put it to good use. I saw first hand that I could motivate, organize, and share a dream as long as I believed. I'm sure I'll come across another idea or thing I'll feel that passion for. I'll take that chance again when it comes.

The StarScreen started out like a dream come true but ended as a nightmare for many. Don't be afraid of dreaming.
