Interesting and not sure myself if I will or won't buy more WDC after the merger.

They do pay a reasonable dividend which is attractive.

Will have to see where the share price goes over the next few months.

The physical distance is irrelevant. For most of the company, Western Digital will merely be another customer. The bulk of the integration will be in Sales & Marketing, with much of the company requiring no integration whatsoever.
