McClendon looks to have fallen foul of a group as he says he was singled out unfairly.

“I have been singled out as the only person in the oil and gas industry in over 110 years since the Sherman Act became law to have been accused of this crime in relation to joint bidding on leasehold,” McClendon said in a statement within hours of the indictment. “I will fight to prove my innocence and to clear my name.”

and its a strange way to go... Not slamming on the brakes right before a head on impact. Very difficult NOT to do.... or a strange way to decide to commit suicide. Did he leave a note?

He didn't sound like the type to give up and commit suicide. But the "when he suddenly veered left about 189 feet prior to impact." looks like a classic.

but who knows I guess.
