You are missing the whole point of a Trump Presidency: higher wages for Americans and higher prices to support those wages. That means more growth, more inflation. The average American has not seen his income rise since 2000 due primarily to outsourcing of jobs. And yes, I know all about Corporate America: they will hire a cockaroach to do the job for 2 cents an hour to maximize profit. And Trump intends to stop that.

Are these immigrants taking jobs away from Americans? That isn't very clear. If an employer couldn't get away with hiring an illegal immigrant for, say, $5/hour, would he say, "OK, then I'll just hire an American citizen for $15/hour"? That's not guaranteed, especially if the employer can't afford it.
It’s not an immigrant at $5 versus an American at $15 . . .
it’s about
1 - legality (NO illegals should be here .. they’re against the law)
2 - immigrants versus Americans at the same price . . if our country can’t support jobs for everyone, why allow more ones into the country . . . this is the reason most countries have quotas

Otherwise I agree with most of your statement.
