Rarebird,
You are missing the whole point of a Trump Presidency: higher wages for Americans and higher prices to support those wages. That means more growth, more inflation.
Are you serious? If you want that, just print money and toss it out of helicopters, just like the Democrats want, especially with the help of Janet Yellen.

The way to improve life for all Americans is to let the free market work as intended. Less protectionism, less regulation, fewer rules that only succeed in making business more inefficient and less innovative.

Immigration is good to keep an economy growing, especially if you want to see manufacturing return to American soil. But that gets needlessly complicated because of unreasonable minimum wage laws and other stuff the unions demand in order to keep their monopoly on American labor. Rule-breaking then becomes encouraged, as I have already explained.

The gap between rich and poor is growing because the rich know how to exploit imbalances in the economy, most of which are artificially created due to regulation. Real estate (i.e. Donald Trump's forte) is a prime example. Zoning laws, public housing, and unholy alliances between developers and politicians create local monopolies that only the rich (and those riding on their coattails) can exploit.

Only with the lowering of barriers will we see the quality of life for all Americans improve. Does Trump understand this? Impossible to tell given his brash ego. (I'm pretty sure Hillary doesn't, though.)

You mean the same Trump who said Americans make too much money in one of the debates? That Donald Trump?
