<..Thanks for the vote of confidence...> From what I have read from you, you have more than earned it, Hal. <..I try to maintain a balanced position and like to hear both positives and negatives about the stocks I own...> It's why you are respected here. <..Please continue to post yourself, as I like to read and evaluate all comments...> As I have time/interest. Maybe we can also interact by email. <..It is fairly easy to discern the non-intelligible pure chearleading or pure nay-sayers from the real-thing...> Not always. Certainly wasn't always that easy on the AMTX thread. <..I enjoy reading your comments Steve, as well as comments from Bill, Trey, Curly, and others...> I have too. Until the recent exchange with billc, I thought he was one of the more balanced posters, and have posted so several times. But when reasonable and honest discussion of the issues is supplanted by the making of false allegations and the petty malignment of someone's motives and integrity, I tend to get steamed up. When it happens to ME (as it also did on the AMTX thread), it's hard not to react. It's interesting that a guy who screams for his urls as his proof, yet has no qualms about making false and completely unsupported (and unsupportable) accusations. And it's not like it was an accident, nor was any apology tendered. Makes it hard (for me anyway) to take someone like this seriously, regardless of what technical bits may also be offered. <...Thought goes into those posts, not just Go WSTL Go or Boo WSTL Boo (as I've seen on other threads you and Bill may be familiar with <G>...> Actually, "thoughtful" and authoritive-sounding but misleading points are more insidious than simple mindless cheerleading. This occured on AMTX. I'm sure it occurs all over. That it came from bill c, is both a surprise and disappointment. I have this thing about keeping the record straight - in ALL circumstances, but most particularly as it pertains to me. <..For the record, I am long WSTL. If it does drop to single digits, without any overt meaning behind the drop (like a contract that folded, BA cancelling deployment)I will probably buy more. But not until it hits single digits. I have too much already purchased in the teens...> This is why I respect you Hal. You AREN'T a cheerleader. You openly consider the any side of a stock irrespective of whether you own it. <..BTW, I also own a small amount of PAIR, and I do realize they are the only ones making money with HDSL. Probably a good long term buy at these levels...> I bought back in this AM myself. And, fwiw, if I happened to be long WSTL, I personally wouldn't sell here (at least not yet, anyway, unless we get some reason to think WSTL may not be part of future contracts). But like yourself, I wouldn't buy yet either. Also, remember that Aware warned fairly recently that it didn't expect rollouts until late 98. Good luck to you and all- Steve
