May be good for ASND!Lucent Technologies (LU) 78 13/16 +1 3/16: story in the latest Barron's issue says that company could become a bigger player and spender in the networking market in 1998 as company will be freed to pursue acquisitions using the more favorable pooling-of-interest accounting method; according to a Morgan Stanley analyst, telecommunication equipment companies could also be on a collision course with data networking concerns as the better capitalized telecom equipment makers could be headed for an acquisition binge.....

Style,

I've been following your dialog on AOL, MSN etc. and what I can't understand (educate me) is the importance you place on "content" in an ISP. Isn't that nothing more than the pre-packaged internet "guided tour" fluff that AOL and MSN in particular serve up? Why not go with a bare bones ISP and only have your own customized net "content" interactions?

And that's the puzzler, isn't it? We know the service blows, yet we still manage to pack some more cottage cheese onto Steve Case's posterior. I cannot expain it and the street loves their stock. Glenn
