In Argentina, Obama complained that Americans don't speak foreign languages. [ Isn't it great to have a dumbbell President that runs down America and Americans to foreign audiences? ] I'd like us to do better is greater awareness of the world outside of the United States... in some ways, America didn't feel as if it needed to know what was really going on outside. It's part of the reason why we don't do as well on foreign languages compared to a lot of other countries with the kind of educational levels. If we want to train young Americans to be able to compete, they have to know where Argentina is. They have to know how to speak Spanish or Chinese -- Mandarin. Not to mention Austrian. Which in Austrian means "progressive genius who is always on the right side of history". Somehow I doubt Obama can find Argentina on a map. Or would even know it existed if not for its intersection with leftist politics. But he can always pander to the left by lecturing Americans on their parochial, provincialism.
