MOYC, NANX' major customer has an exclusive agreement w NANX to exclusively use NANX' patented "feedstock" for use as CMP slurry.

NANX has recognized CMP slurry as a major growth vehicle for NANX.
The CMP slurry market has been controlled by CBT (about 90% market share) who has unsucessfully attempted to obtain the use of NANX's feedstock. Mel

From Briefing.com <<10:25 ET ******

NANOPHASE TECHNOLOGIES CORP (NANX) 12 7/8 -1 1/4. Some of the air is being let out of NANX shares following Friday's 51% pop on little more than an acknowledgment by CNBC as a recent IPO with interesting products. Since our less than enthusiastic story on Friday, the shares have fallen 13.4% or 2 points. So far, however, volume has been fairly weak at 275,000 versus the more than 1.1 million shares traded Friday. In spite of the sharp decline experienced this morning, the stock is holding up surprisingly well. We would have expected more selling by subscribers of the company's $8 per share November 26 initial public offering. Too bad for them. Would expect this issue to continue its retreat over the next several sessions to the $11.50-$12.00 level, that is, if the shorts don't get fidgety and start covering and if the IPO managers don't start pumping the shares with reiterations. Over the next 3-4 weeks, we would anticipate the shares stumbling back to the $11 mark.>>

Barb

Let's say a stock is trading at 14 3/8 bid, 14 1/2 ask, 14 1/2 last and last trade was a minus tick. I place an order to sell at 14 7/16.
My order becomes the ask. Someone places a market order to buy or a limit order to buy at 14 7/16.

I'm short without an uptick.
