I am quite surprised that no one yesterday afternoon or today has yet posted a query about the trading activity flurry late in yesterday's session.

I bought SFSK about three weeks ago at $53 7/8. In the profit protection system I use, once a stock is up 6%, I put a stop (generally a mental stop) at my purchase price so that I'll lose nothing more than my commissions. SFSK was in this situation and I was talking with my broker about selling around 2:50 p.m. (ET). SFSK was at 53 3/4 Bid, 54 Asked, and I was about to get out. The stock had been lightly traded with as much as 15 minutes between trades at times.

Suddenly, there was a rush of trading activity and within 15 minutes it was up almost $3! I'd hoped I'd find an explanation here on Silicon Investor - or at least a question. Since no one has beaten me to the punch, I think I'll ask the mandatory question: Does anyone know what's happening??

By the way, when a stock gets hot like this one did, I often watch a live data feed on a tick-by-tick basis. Since that won't be available now, I'd recommend to anyone interested that they pull up a one-minute intraday chart from any of the chart providers on the web. It will be quite interesting.
