SHEESH,

I thought we were getting away from the ups and downs of the PC cycle.

Looks like the talking heads/analysts are now focusing on smart phone cycles.

None the less semi chip sales are setting quite stable records and growing.

That being said the internet of things is going to be huge - small volumes relatively, but so many variations - it is huge volume coming Brooks says it is creating demand for 200 MM tools - surprisingly so.

I'll tell you an old name that I get excited about is Cypress Semi and TJ Rogers.

They are making BMW dash clusters and Lincoln dash clusters that are screens with digital pictures of gages - but not gages. Just wires coming from the power control module that monitors low voltage sensors from the engine / gas tank / suspension and displays it on a screen that looks like a gage - cool tech coming to autos.

All of the radar driving assists - My wife has it on her Terrain Denali - once you have it you almost don't want to change lanes with out its confirmation - LOVE IT!!

He says it is so inexpensive to assemble, once designed it will work its way down to lower cost vehicles.

Look at all the new vehicles with led headlights and tail lights "Jewelry for Autos" - love that term.

It's a wonderful world and the stuff we'll see in the next 2-3 years is already being made.

Smart Phones can wane we're still doing great new things.

Bob
