Bob, I disagree, I think. If I can set up a highly leveraged position controlling a larger number of shares for a net credit doing what I've said, I have tied up significantly less capital than simply buying a puts or shorting with calls. Now there is fixed risk that I could have a loss equivalent to a put or short with a call, but it's not paid for up front.
