All outside Africa were replaced with somebody who left Africa way back then [a woman]. 30,000 years ago a man left Africa and his Y chromosome replaced all males who were then outside Africa. That's 5 billion people descended from him. In only 30,000 years. Women are not genocidal, so they are more gradually replaced in the gene pool. Winning males do mass murder [see Srebenica] and score the women. Maoris did the same but ate the losers. When there were just a few hundred thousand people, mutation rates and selection of the winning genes was very slow. The rate gradually increased as numbers burgeoned. Now there are 7,000,000,000 people getting mutations and undergoing selection [aka eugenics]. The rate is stupendous compared with 10,000 years ago when it was pretty much stalled. But wait, there's more. People can now cut and paste DNA and that process will eliminate the hideously cruel mutation and death process for 99.999999% of such experiments. They can also select zygotes for implantation, eliminating the guesswork in the hideous normal process which passes on disastrous DNA down the line, to be eliminated when an unfortunate individual gets a double dose of the gene. It's absurd to think there's no evolution when it's at all-time record speed and in the process of accelerating and about to go warp speed. When Einstein's brain function is cut and pasted into a new life, replacing chimp-like cognitive function, then Fourier will be child's play. I don't know of anyone who would like to have less intelligence. The usual problem is not enough intelligence. Google helps these days by providing colossal knowledge availability to make the printing presses you mentioned look like an abacus compared with a super computer. The process is just getting going. It will supersede what has gone before in a way that makes the late 20th century success of industrial revolution people compared with stone age chimpoids grunting over a kill look trivial. You have no doubt heard of the singularity. Industrial revolution humans will be left behind like Neanderthals were left behind by New York, London, Tokyo. Of course there is a widening wealth gap. That process will continue. There is no upper bound other than barbarians murdering and robbing like chimps which can slow things down, as Adolf and the Germans did by mass murder of cognitive elite Ashkenazis. Note that Americans didn't do that and guess who got the bomb? Stupid Germans did not. In similar vein, chimp-like Arabs and Mozzies in general want to mass-murder Jews and take over Israel. If they were not so stupid, they would understand that they could help Israel and do very well - a new golden age of the Middle East. But you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear so they'll stay as barbarians. Envy is a terrible burden. One of the seven deadly sins. Mqurice
