Over the last hundred years the Democrats have produced FDR, Adlai Stevenson, JFK, Bobby Kennedy, Eugene McCarthy, George McGovern, Mo Udall, Al Gore and Obama.

During that time the Republicans have not produced one presidential contender that was worthy of walking in the shadow of any of the above people.

Also, most of the Democratic men and women in Congress are pretty good. Al Franken, Elizabeth Warren, most of the women in the Senate Tulsi Gabbard, I could go on for a while. And if you look at the Democratic Congress over the last hundred years and compared it to the Republican Congress there's an easy Grand Canyon of difference. And that difference extends all the way down to the state level.

As mentioned in my state tin he last decade over a dozen people been indicted for bribery from the oil companies and not one was a Democrat. Of the 20 people in the legislature that took over $10,000 from the oil companies, only one was a Democrat.

And in the 70s the liberal Democrats completely revolutionized Alaska and made it the leading state in the union in less than a decade. I knew most of the Democrats in the legislature and the vast majority them were true blue idealists looking out for the common good of mankind.

In the Republican Party, I cannot name a single person I admire off the top of my head. Not one. That is a Grand Canyon of difference.
