The Edmonton Journal reports in its Saturday edition that diamonds are in
Alberta's eyes. Reporter Bryant Avery says that land-based exploration with
easy access gives the province an edge but it is still a long road to
production. Dale Leckie, a Calgary-based research scientist for the
Geological Survey of Canada, says the word "likely" is still too strong,
but there is "tremendous potential" in Alberta. Ashton Mining of Canada
president John Auston says the testing of gems is at an early and
inconclusive stage, but he and other long-time explorers are clearly
excited. Troymin Resources president Jack McClearly says the Buffalo Hills
exploration is a very significant play. He says he does not think there is
another diamond exploration area in the world that has moved along as
rapidly as Buffalo Hills. Roy Eccles, a geologist with the Alberta
Geological Survey, cautions that it may be several years before we know if
the diamonds in Alberta are rich enough to warrant a mine.

Hi George:

I think the info you are getting on this thread is good. People make mistakes (the nature of the beast). In my opinion, the real (major) resistance is around the 80 cent barrier. Most people are just waiting until January to get active (talk)...been here a long time. I think that a lot of the people on this thread are longer term investors and are waiting for kimberlite and diamonds. MEO is expected to begin drilling around 1/6/98 (for Bob). Will it happen then???? I don't know for certain but I will be shocked if it doesn't happen the first couple of weeks!!!! George...the people that have followed MEO closely and do their homework knew that Redwood Resources would finance the $1.5 million. They knew the other talk was B.S. Think about what is going on, what the SE property has, who wanted it, and then call Redwood to confirm things. It is my understanding that ACA wanted ONLY the (MEO) SE property before the first diamond news release. Why?????? Think they still would like to have it now???? I do!!!! What does this mean???? The opinion is the SE property has some very, very good targets. Are the targets kimberlite???? No one knows!!!!! I think the group feels there are plenty....January/February will tell us more.

Follow all the Alberta threads....people have gotten tired of posting on each one. Remember the people are only trying to help...sometimes the data is not exactly correct....sometimes it is. Cross check things.

See you in the Bahamas!!!

Frank
