I have not heard of a Muslim Registry proposal....but I do remember my grandfather when he come from Italy had to go to the police station every month and report where he was living, what his job was etc., until he became a citizen...if that is what he is talking about, we ought to be doing that for all immigrants...

Trump has enough positives that they far outweigh Obama's negatives, even though Trump has some negatives of his own.

Trump's ability to competently and aggressively negotiate -- which he is already doing -- is important, because we have just come through 7-8 years of no negotiation at all: Foreign countries make demands and Obama caves like a one-egg pudding. We have a lot of catching up to do.

Trump has great appeal as well in that he lacks political experience, hence, will not approach the job like ordinary politicians. I think he'll be no-nonsense and I suspect he WILL be able to get a lot done. He will make offers to the Democrats they can't refuse.

If they do refuse he will destroy them over it. If he makes attractive offers they refuse to accept just to be obstinate, he will make them pay a price for it.

I was pissed about the Muslim thing, I'll say that much. But he did walk it back some and ultimately he is going to be more respectful of the Constitution than what we've had.
