Jane;

Sorry it seems like I stirred the pot. Anyway I still maintain the Jesus gave his life for the mere fact the Father willed it so. Jesus giving his life willingly shows us how much love this man (God) really had for all mankind Gentiles and Jews. His words in the bible;

Lk:23:34: Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

That is the love we need Emile and Robert something you seem to lack. I see no forgiveness in your words only Damnation to others who don't think exactly like you. It's the words that you choose to use that feed hate groups all over this country, you need to ask yourself what spirit are you really serving.

As far a Jesus giving his life the way he did;
I don't think I could have lived through seeing it knowing myself I would be crushed to watch anyone die on a cross let alone the son of God.

Alan

Jane,
<<I just
cannot stand making the source of all Love and Beauty the rallying point for
unmasked pure hatred.>>

Sometimes we are talking about ourselves when we think we are talking about someone else. The argument would stop if you and Alan and Nancy would stop posting so many things that are not true.
In Matthew 23: 13-39 Jesus Himself condemns the Jewish religious leaders of the day and said that all the blood of the prophets would be charged to the Jewish people.
Also when Pilate was attempting to let Jesus go the jews said crucify Him and let His blood be on our heads taking the responsability themselves for His death. Matt.27:17-26. Pilate ordered His crucifiction to satisfy the Jews and washed His hands of the matter himself. In John 19:11 Jesus says to Pilate, "You would have no authority over Me, unless it had been given to you from above; for this reason he who delivered Me up to you has the greater sin". So Jesus says the Jews who delivered Him up to Pilate have the greater sin, the ones who said let His blood be on our heads and our childrens in Matt. 27:25.
This has been told to you already but you have ignored the posts and delight in fighting. I am sorry to see it.

Bob
