AVNT. Thanks for the posts. The second artcile is very interesting. I think that CDN and Joe Costello have a similar relationship with thier Japanese distributor Innotech. Is this common practice in the EDA industry in Japan? EOM.

Thanks for interesting posts Peter. Where was this news released? I don't see it on YHOO, will appreciate a pointer if publicly accessible. I wonder if anyone will beleive whatever the officers of the company say with the kind of track record they have. They have shady analysts, deals, executives and everything else.

There is one line from the news story which really caught my eye: <<"We do not do what the short sellers speculate," responded Avant! spokesman Matt Lifschultz. >> Even though I have no doubt that Avant is in a death spiral, when I saw that comment I couldn't help but smile. I guess that soon Mr. Lifschultz will join SI under a phony alias and begin posting comments on the Avant thread such as: Look out shorties!!! Here comes the squeeeeezzzzeee!!! Short sellers are running for cover!!!! This dip is another buying opportunity!!! Gooooooo Avant!!!! $$$$ I understand that good news is coming out next week!!!! Call in your certs!!!! Crooked MMs are driving down the price so they can cover their shorts!!!
