Apple's spending in R&D certainly point to new products. This author thinks a car is in Apple's sights.

If true, it's hard to see how the next iPhone we see this September will be a compelling upgrade for most people. A simple rehash of the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus with simple processor and camera upgrades probably won't cut it for a lot of people. That will hurt sales and put further pressure on the stock for the remainder of the year.

I was planning on buying whatever they come out with to upgrade my iPhone 6, but I'll have to wait and see now what they offer.

If this is true

"2017 is going to be the jaw-dropping, wow, that's an astounding industrial design iPhone," Gruber said.

we'll see $70 before we see $120 as this will totally destroy any Fall 2016 upgrade cycle and we'll have an entire year of "the end of the iPhone" stories

Sentiment is bad and Cupertino is not fighting back. I'myself am starting to question if Tim has a handle on things. We have rumors of cars like we used to have rumors of TV's. The present is fillded with a good iPhone being replaced by another good iPhone in the fall to be followed NEXT year by a super FANTASTIC iPhone.

I lived this story last year and it cost me 20% or so of my AAPL investment.
