As with most public companies - the executives have certain criteria that must be met before they can sell their stock. My read is that Levine was no longer bound to these criteria - he has an all or nothing mentality -so he sold everything. CS has strong technology, very good cost/port performance with all their product lines. They are simply being out marketed by Bay and 3com ,(more recently intel and cisco). They have to embrace the channel or loose more market share. They are now doing this. I have several friends at CS - its business as usual with them - as a company they are less arrogant, they will take less margin going throught the channel, but thats better than nothing.
