It is not a very thoughtful expectation to think that works, IMO.

I hate government involvement in anything but leaches will get healthcare some way, shape or form. I think the best way to deal with this is take all the public hospitals and providers and create a separate government healthcare system for lowlifes, VA, Medicare, etc. and get the leaches out of the private healthcare system. The government will no longer be able to dictate payouts to the private sector and costs for the private sector will drop like a rock. Medicare people can buy additional insurance to get out of the government mess but at least there will be a minimal safety net for those with little or nothing.

Conservatives won't like it but the problem isn't getting resolved otherwise.
