Brinker's view on stock investing is almost diametrically opposite to that of the fools. He would have only the most knowledgeable investors putting their money in individual stocks. The other people would be investing mostly in stock-market indexes.

However, the fools' approach is to encourage the neophyte to invest in individual stocks. How else can you explain their universal message -- "put your money in Coke; valuations be damned"?

IMO, the fledgling investor who follows the fools will pay a high price to learn that the three most important words in investing are "valuation, valuation and valuation".

As for the seasoned investors, they don't need the fools. End of story.
