fuchi SAN, you won't have to wait till winter. Repair shop's tell me that the Pentium II runs so hot it melts the glue used to attach the cooling fans. Once the fan detaches unknow to the user the chip fries up pretty fast. The thing is it's get reported as a fan problem. The repair guys know better.

Hi Fuchi , Is Intel confused ?
In its attempt to move those PIIs it is now selling the PII-233 for $14 less than the Pentium MMX-233 . I wonder if that will affect Pentium MMX sales ? The PII-233 is $300 and the Pentm MMX-233 is $314
