Not only are fossil fuels not "doomed within 30 years", but also solar and wind won't be able to cover electricity needs within 30 years (let alone doing that and also replacing a very significant fraction of non-electrical energy use during that time frame)

The problem is AGW.

The Saudi's know that they have to sell off their oil before it becomes stranded.

Unfortunately they should have started that process over ten years ago.

The majority of remaining FF's will be left in the ground.
