That's the old NIH syndrome. Fatal to many companies.
Well I've seen marketing types dream up some pretty wild things that from an engineering perspective just cannot or will not ever happen.

It doesn't matter where an idea comes from. What matters is the quality of the idea. Ideas from children or even women or [how broad-minded is this] people of colour can be good. We know you are one of those "calll to authority" people. Do you think left-handed people should be allowed to have ideas? That's why you fell for the Global Warming hoax. CO2 absorbs a couple of wavelengths so you mistakenly went along with the Al Gore idea. Hey, wait, isn't he a marketing type? Why would you buy his snake oil. Yes, you are right. Bad ideas are bad. It doesn't matter where they come from.

Congratulations, you are up to where I was 30 years ago when it seemed ridiculous that petrol and diesel vehicles could continue to beat electric. But they did and continue to do so. But there are now some actual all-electric cars that are finding a niche of success.

Making the batteries small, light, reliable, safe, cheap enough has been the hard part. Recharging them remains a hard part - an hour wait to charge is hopeless. Waiting at a gasoline pump is bad enough, but at least it takes only 3 minutes for somebody who is efficient to get it done. The least wait for a Supercharger would be almost an hour if there is only 1 car in front.

Plugging in is a hassle. Power cords are a pain. Halo will make electric cars so much nice to drive. Just park and walk away. No cables in the rain. A couple of days ago, I finally bought an induction cooker. And a suitable pot. it's great. Only US$40.

Now I have electric, lpg, methane, and induction. Induction wins. It's much more efficient. 2 kilowatts is pretty good for what I want.

The ideal car would be all electric, induction recharge and no need to swap the battery. If would be a nice step to keep out of the process. As with Cyberphones, it might be enough to charge once a day while sleeping. Recharge brain, car and Cyberphone at the same time.

If the battery is part of the structure of the car, that's okay. Just swap part of the structure of the car.

Not Invented Here syndrome causes many failures in life.
