Despite Icahn's bearishness he has made some remarkably strange buys lately: HTZ, AGN, and LNG among them. I get the sense that he is bearish without really understanding why.

probably related to the spinoff on June 30th.

" According to the Form 10, Herc will take on a bunch of debt to transfer ~$1.9b to Hertz as part of the transaction, with the proceeds being used to pay down debt and repurchase shares. "

with HTZ market cap of $4.74 Billion, $1 billion share repurchase will reduce shares by 20%. What do you guys think about this?

HTZ has gone from best in class to bottom in terms of customer service. Specifically, they nickeled and dimed me worse than any other company if I purchase the rental car insurance through them (which I am required to do for my companies non-domestic business travel).

They lost me as a customer for sure and I hope many others as well.
