It says there was no mass at all until awhile after the big bang
It's unknown what consisted of that singularity, but that a lot of energy was involved is not in dispute......electrons, neutrons, and protons have mass...Einstein's equation E = mc^2 teaches that energy can be converted to mass and vice versa.... The A-bomb is the experimental evidence. I have no knowledge of what happened or how or why and that's why I am agnostic on it. I allow you to call me an atheist because I certainly don't believe anything resembling what you do (and most of the rest of humanity).....

As to a "personal" God ... why would an intelligent supernatural being go to the trouble of causing a universe to come into existence and intelligent life to come about and not have an interest in it? How reasonable is that?
If you think it red reasonable that a god created the universe in the way you believe (the 7 days) than I think it reasonable that you can believe anything..even that a god cares whether your son makes that foul shot.... But I have hope that you are beginning to understand that there are trillions of galaxies, stars, planets, moons and many other things in the universe. That there is other intelligent life (and lots of it) in the universe is something I do not doubt.....

buildup of masses that eventually exploded.

Shakes head.

Please guys, no.

I do feel certain there are no personal gods, ie those that care specifically about you

Sure sounds like an act of creation to me.

Now you guys are talking beliefs, both of which has no scientific evidence.

You can extrapolate from theories and facts but as anyone who has done any mathematical modeling can tell you, extrapolation usually does not work well at all unless you have an excellent good model of what is happening and even then…

Shepard, you just seem to say no.
Brumar seems to have a hypothesis.

Both still are beliefs which are taken on faith.
