Eric, at first I thought the AR-15 was fully automatic, so I thought, "Yeah, why don't we just ban all automatic weapons?"

Then I found out it was actually semi-automatic, but the engineering of the weapon is so good that the wielder can easily pull the trigger a few times a second without experiencing much recoil.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I'm not, then it really underscores how impractical it would be to "ban assault rifles" because pretty much any weapon can be defined that way. Or modified to become one.
