Bill,

>No flames coming from this direction - I love guys like
>you. :-)

You should hate me - I am not a bear. :-)
Well, maybe I am a short term semi-equip bear. :-)

I currently hold a bunch of stocks and almost no
cash. UTEK puts are the only hedge I have. ;-)
I am no growth investor myself - I use modified
"Super Stocks" approach with emphasis on
Buffett'like criteria (NKE, PEP, UM). Some of my buys
are marginally Super Stocks (semi-equips, IKOS). Others
are pure experiments - arbitraging, high-tech options,
and so on.

Good luck to you in your value investments.

Raimondas

Bill,

Small question on this thread, Refer to "Lots of free cash & low or no debt"

UTEK might be attractive for takeover hostile or otherwise with the thought of using the cash later to pay for it. Thoughts??? Is this an old thread?

Thanks,

Steve

Raimondas, all these things are true. IMO, you are 100% correct. I guess our only difference is that the cash is more important to me because I'm just a simple-minded,

The problem I have with companies that hoard cash is that it distorts
their real earnings (Yahoo). Not that cash is bad, but are you
investing in a bank or a company that makes semi equipment? I like
to see a company have 1/4 of their sales in cash. But, of course,
I'd rather see too much than too little.
