angel, you are certainly right that shorting has more risk for less potential gain than being long. I go both long and short, but I seem to be better at identifying good losers and scams. I do not short OTC stocks.

Angel, good point. Use shorting for hedging long positions. Never short naked for long periods of time or you may be wiped out unless you are an absolute genious at picking loosers.
