Your leaps in logic defy logic. Where is your source that a "lot" of Christians in this country are calling for gays to be put to death?

There are a lot of American Christians who love the way the Old Testament talks about gays. Not seeing them in power anywhere in America nor running any governments worldwide. Most Christians think the old testament is old and follow the new testament - not to mention several reformations that curb the nasty bits of the good book. Islam has no pope that can reinterpret or play down sections of the koran - to do so is itself a death sentence according to the koran. Even when it calls for their death. And there are a lot more Christians, even fringe ones, than there are Muslims in this country. Such bullshit - in America I'd be surprised if you could find 1% with those views - in muslim countries it's 50-70% that believe they should be killed or jailed and this is most true in sharia law countries and they actually do execute or jail them daily. Can't recall the last time America or the west jailed or executed someone for being gay.
