Entertaining two weeks for political junkies. I'm not a political junkie but I've enjoyed the speeches. It is almost as entertaining as the bs exchange between perma bulls and perma bears.

Make no mistake... I've taken profits so with that said, I hear so much pure BS from both the perma bears and perma bulls it is laughable.

The most recent from the perma bulls is something about the record cash levels or how many who are "neutral" are somehow "out of the market." SO many perma bulls get extra bullish at tops and are short of cash to buy the dips but maybe this time they will be correct and the markets explode higher. I'd sure like that!

I keep hitting record cash levels in my trading IRA and overall investment accounts and it is BECAUSE I keep my allocation to stocks in a fairly tight range. Thus, every time the market goes up, I TAKE PROFITS and thus generate cash. When the markets are at a record high... duh... I often hit record levels of cash!

The perma bears look at the other side of the balance sheet and see record money in stocks and say that happens every time there is a top so it means we are at another top! Again, laughable. There can be record money in stocks for years as markets move higher... even if some of us take profits on the way up.
