Personally, I do not think that it is fair of you to put gays in the same category as criminals & terrorists.

I am straight & come from a very large family. Among my many cousins, I would guess that about 2-3 of them were gay. One cousin was actively gay & died most likely of AIDS in California, another seems gay but became a celibate clergyman in California [and extremely liberal minded]. A third, lives in Atlanta, and I presume that he may live a gay lifestyle there.

No, I am not pro gay, but neither am I anti gay. I do not believe in a 'gay gene' as the cause of homosexuality but rather that it is an inclination that occurs in a small % of the population.
Judging from my 'gay'ish cousin who became a clergyman, I had noticed in family photo's that he was excessively doted upon by his mother & she dressed him up in silly boyish outfits with beanies etc.
This leads me to believe that his 'gay'ish behavior was probably, in part, instilled in him by his Mother having more influence on his social life than his Father did.

Regardless, I think that each individual is responsible to choose there own lifestyle with whatever inclinations that they grew up. Yes, Heterosexuality should rightly be considered the norm, but homosexual tendencies cannot be ignored.
On the other hand, my wife & I are both perplexed as to all these 'Gay Pride' events. We do not think that it is something that should be flaunted about. What is there to be proud about in your sexual orientation?

P.S. Did you have any friends or relatives that were known to be gay?
