** World's first 300mm DUV stepper tested this month at I300I consortium **

It's a Canon EX3L that was bought by Intel and loaned to the consortium for one year. They will share test/process results. According to the article it should be able to do .18um using phase shift masks. No mention of the light source but I'm sure it's Excimer and therefore should be Cymer powered.

This is a major announcement and if Cymer is the light source it should have a press release touting this. But before we get all hot and bothered at Cymer for not blowing their horn, maybe they can't. Maybe those non-disclosure agreements relating to their customers prevent even this type of announcement. That's too bad because this type of information would do wonders for the stock price.

Two other chip makers have also purchased this 300mm stepper.
