It only makes sense that a cash rich company such as ABX will be constantly analyzing and positioning their resources to find and acquire the best picks available. Thanks for the tip on Kinross. ABX's Monk appears bent and determined to get ABX values up in trading value. Won't surprise me to see the stock move on constant news. These past few days have provided an excellent opportunity to trade in and out for small gains with little downside risk. Also appears that there has been some profit taking....note the activity on NY when TSE and Mtr were closed a couple of days back, down 1/2 to close down 1/8.

Best regards,
Ron E

If Barrick were interested in Kinross?

(a) How would they go about it? Offering Cash/Stock? Hostile takeover?

(b) Is Kinross's exec. really that interested in a takeover/buyout by ABX? Would they really let it?

Something tells me that a taekover would not benefit Kinross's executive and majority shareholders!

Any thoughts?
