Everyone

Lets start the new year out right. How about some cheap calls on NSM for the new year. By the way, I lost my link to the Options Market. Does anyone have one? Believe this market ( Tech ) has to turn around soon. Some news to start the rush!!!

How about some speculation to go with it.

<<OFF TOPIC>>re: mouse
This may sound crazy, but have you tried turning off the computer, unplugging the mouse, plugging the mouse back in and turning the computer back on? I have had the problem of the mouse not being recognized, and believe it or not, the above procedure was the solution! I'm not sure why this works but it may have something to do with battery powered circuitry in the motherboard that is somehow reset. I've had this problem with two different motherboards from different manufacturers(epox p55tv and asus p55t2p4, intel 82430vx and 82430hx chipsets respectively, both with award plug & play bios)
Hope this helps.

Happy New Year to All,
sc
P.S. be sure the PS2 option is enabled in the bios

Craig,

Did you replace the COM cable with the one accompanied with PA2005? Believe it or not, quite a few of them are not exchangeable with each othre. :)

fast wide SCSI

With a new SCSI drive too? I think that you are ridiculous to compare your P200+ to PII-266 which has FAST WIDE SCSI drive. :)

Craig,

My son had a problem with his mouse working on a new FIC PA5005 motherboard. It turned out that the cable was defective and could only be replaced with a propritory FIC mouse port cable-we tried other cables but it's true it only works with the FIC cable. By the way this MB was not given very high marks on Tom's Page.

Hope this helps
