not for sale ......

Hi Darrell

my take is that orctf is/was not for sale... management owns something like 65% of the company... they have lots of cash and are now running in the black... and poised to (possibly) profit handsomely in the next couple of years ...

Think they are interested in calling their own shots, and seeing how far they can go on their own. Could be quite a ways with some breaks... They seem to have figured out how to hold their own with the bigger fish... (without being eaten)... 98 should be telling... will feel more comfortable when they've grown a little (revenues).. :)

Can't think of a compelling reason for them to sell (now)... also would guess that they have received serious offers in the past which they turned down.. (eci/kor)

At the time of the ipo, when the market looked dicey, a "well-known" us telecom operator was ready to buy in at $15 million (10% of the guesstimated value of orckit at the time). Management decided to go it on their own...

Amtx was a different situation. They were running in the red and out of cash. Also they had an established relationship with TI, so the fit there was good.

Does the Alex Brown report make any comments on Rockwell?

thanks
