George, My understanding on warrants is - the warrants issued at ipo are expired. Other warrants, connected to a private placement are expiring today. These warrants are out of the money, and I understand that acmi may extend the warrant period. regards, C.S.Trecartin

As you know, any time there are more sellers than buyers there is a downturn in price. Normally warrants are issued with a strike price and with an expiration date, and can be traded just like the underlying stock is.. You don't need to buy the stock and then sell it, you can normally sell the warrant.

Regardless of the expiration date, if the warrant is out of the money ( the strike price is higher than the market price) it would be foolish to exercise the warrant and the warrant has no real value. My understanding from others is that the current warrants have expired out of the money, but that ACMI may extend them. I could only understand that if the warrants were issued say as part of a mangement bonus or incentive.

Anyway, looking at the float vice shares outstandoing, it looks to me like the float has been holding at about 14 milllion. If there were a substatial transfer of warrants into shares traded, I would have thought we'd have seen increase in the float. I think the arrants would have come out of treasury stock.
