Sal - Hotmail isn't making money right now--but since when is that the point when you're talking, "internet." I was under the impression that making money was always important when running a business and/or investing. Hotmail is a huge community of RECURRING users. If you offer something for free, people will use it, maybe even more than once. Doesn't mean that you're going to make money, doing it, though. OTOH, MSFT has enough money to sink into something like this for mindshare alone. That in itself may make it worthwhile for them, but it's surely not going to buy MSFT allegiance. -justinb
