The market turned the curve. It is like a traffic jam. The first car in the front of the traffic jam is already moving but the consumer there at the back is still stuck.

I couple what I read with some factors on the ground.

I looked briefly at the prices of the Square meter of the real estate in my town Curitiba and it reached the bottom around March 2015. It has been rising since late 2015.

Then I look to the stock of real estate unsold.

The stock of unsold real estate was above 11.000. The normal is 7.000 units. It has been dropping until it reaches the 7.000 normal level. The graphic shows That is about more than 4 years of construction sector not moving.

The constructed square meter price has started getting higher which also points for a better market from here on

I used this as a proxy for the rest of the economy and the industry has been holding back plans to build or the manufacture.
