Judy, Good trade on CHRZ. Weakness in INTC and CSCO should not be ignored. MSFT has run out of steam also. The long-waited rally may have run its course. Now I need a prewarn :) I will be around...talk to you later. Have a big meal!

Judy, ag, Ike & Thread: 1) Have a good and safe new years everyone and see (or post with) next year. 2) On INTU to maybe confuse the issue I like their tax software (I'll be using their professional version for the 2nd year) and their personal version has more features (information, planning tips, etc)and is eaiser to use than competitors. Dowside is competitors charge less forcing INTU to lower prices. Their new version of quicken is very good (although I'm not completely up to speed) but MS Money is also rated well. They may finally be hitting on all cylinders (@$40 its come up from low $20s this summer) and the tax season is always good publicity for INTU and H&R Block. 3) ADBE see this for a rumor but the company had a good move in August (with a strong sales announcement) but dropped back and I haven't followed it. macosrumors.com Its probably worth a trade for next week. Hi Judy, It's been a while since last we chatted. Today's rally in the disk drive stocks looks interesting from a short-term trading perspective. I'd like to hear your short-term impressions, if you have any. I'm also scanning the depressed cyclical landscape for 3-6 month option plays. Lately everyone's been making 1998 forecasts (I'm predicting Dow 10,000 this year), and I hope you join in the fun. Btw, I noticed that Sir John Templeton is increasing his investment in Korea. Those Templeton people love to jump in...Mark Mobius made Thailand his largest country weighting in Templeton Emerging Markets Fund a few weeks ago. Take care, Philip
